How to Make An Azalea Cocktail: The Unofficial Drink Of The Masters

Golf lovers, spring sippers, and cocktail fans — meet your new favorite warm-weather drink: The Azalea Cocktail. This blushing beauty is the unofficial signature cocktail of the Masters Tournament, and it’s as refreshing as a stroll down Magnolia Lane.
Light, citrusy, and just a little flirty with its pink hue, the Azalea is a breeze to mix up at home. Whether you’re hosting a Masters watch party or just need a fresh cocktail for spring, this one’s a hole-in-one.
What Is an Azalea Cocktail?
Named after the iconic flowers that bloom throughout Augusta National Golf Club, the Azalea cocktail is a simple mix of vodka (or gin!), citrus, pineapple juice, and grenadine. It’s fruity, tart, and surprisingly balanced — a perfect drink to sip as you cheer on your favorite golfer or enjoy a sunny afternoon on the patio.
Azalea Cocktail Ingredients & Tools
- Cocktail shaker (love this one that has a strainer built it)
- Jigger (love this angled measuring jigger – so easy to use)
- Good vodka or Gin if you prefer (My favorite vodka brands are Grey Goose and Chopin)
- Lemonade
- Grenadine
- Ice (obsessed with these golf ice molds)
- Orange slice & maraschino cherry, for garnish
- Kick it up a notch by topping it off with your favorite sparkling prosecco or champagne (optional)
- Official frosted drinking glass
*Note: While it’s called an Azalea, do not use real azalea flowers or leaves as your garnish… they’re beautiful but highly toxic. You could try these adorable flower cocktail stirrers!
Why You’ll Love It
- Easy to make with ingredients you probably already have
- Perfect for spring and summer gatherings (easy to make into a large batch)
- Deliciously vibrant and not overly sweet
- Masters-approved vibes without the plane ticket to Augusta
