Tips for the Perfect Grilled Cheese
- Choose the Right Bread: Sourdough, French bread, or a sturdy artisan loaf works best.
- Don’t Skip the Butter: For that golden, crispy crust, always butter the bread (or use mayo for a tangy twist).
- Use A Cast Iron Pan: A heavy skillet ensures even heat distribution and the perfect crust. (Lodge is my favorite!)
- Press Gently: Use a non-toxic spatula to press the sandwich down lightly while cooking. This ensures even toasting and helps everything meld together.
- Low and Slow: Cook over medium heat to allow the brie to melt completely without burning the bread.
