This homemade version is about to become your new favorite electrolyte drink. It’s bright, crisp, naturally flavored, and electrolytes come from coconut water and sea salt, not artificial dyes or preservatives.

This Green Apple Gatorade is made with fresh Granny Smith apples, coconut water, a splash of lime juice, and a hint of maple syrup for balance. It’s the perfect energizing sip for workouts, sports, long walks, hot summer days, or anytime you need a hydrating boost. And the best part? It tastes way better than the artificial neon green version.

Why Make Your Own?

Store-bought sports drinks contain artificial flavors, dyes, and more sugar than your body needs, especially for everyday hydration. This homemade version is refreshing, clean, and actually supports hydration the way your body needs it.

  • Naturally hydrating — thanks to coconut water and sea salt
  • Bright + tart flavor — Granny Smith apples bring that perfect energizing zing
  • Boosted with spirulina — adds minerals, chlorophyll, and natural electrolytes
  • Only real ingredients — no dyes, fillers, or artificial sweeteners
  • Teen + adult approved — tastes like a fun sports drink without the junk

Flavor Variations

  • Green Apple Ginger Hydration: add ½ teaspoon grated ginger
  • Green Apple Cucumber Cooler: blend in ½ cup chopped cucumber
  • Spicy Apple Electrolyte Drink: add a pinch of cayenne
  • Green Apple Mint Refresher: blend with 4–5 fresh mint leaves

Pro Tips:

  • Adjust: Add more lime for tang, or extra maple syrup for sweetness.
  • Make it sparkling: Top with sparkling mineral water for a fizzy version.
  • Hydration cubes: Freeze in ice cube trays and add to plain coconut water for an on-the-go electrolyte boost.
  • Storage: Store up to 2 days in the fridge and shake before serving, natural ingredients settle.
  • Serve ice cold: this drink tastes extra crisp when chilled.
