Iced Mango Matcha Latte
Ingredients
Batch Mango Syrup
- 3 cups diced ripe mango fresh or frozen
- ⅓ – ½ cup honey or sugar adjust to taste
- ½ cup water
- 1 – 2 tablespoons fresh lime juice
- Pinch sea salt
Matcha Latte
- 1 cup + 1/4 cup Water divided
- 2 tsp Matcha
- 1/2 cup Whole milk or milk of choice
Instructions
Batch Mango Syrup
- In a saucepan, combine: mango, sweetener, and water then bring to a gentle simmer over medium heat.
- Cook for 6–8 minutes, stirring and mashing the mango as it softens.
- Remove from heat and add: Lime juice and a pinch of salt then blend until smooth using a blender.
- Let cool completely, then transfer to a jar (Store in the fridge for up to 5–7 days.)
Assemble Matcha Latte
- Add 1/4 cup of the mango syrup to the bottom of a glass.
- Fill the glass with ice then pour the milk on top.
- In another glass or bowl add the matcha powder and pour in 1/4 cup warm water and use a matcha whisk to whisk briskly to mix or use a milk frother to mix together.
- Pour the matcha on top of the milk layer and revel in the beautiful layers.
