Matcha Rice Krispy Treats: A Perfect Snack For Matcha Lovers

Rice Krispy treats just got a major upgrade, and honestly, I may never go back to the original. These Matcha Rice Krispy Treats are crispy, chewy, buttery, and infused with just the right amount of earthy-sweet matcha magic. Think of them as the cool older cousin of the classic childhood treat, still nostalgic but with a little extra sophistication. (And, let’s be real, a tiny excuse to say they’re kind of healthy… because, you know, antioxidants.)
Why You’ll Love These
- Easy AF – We’re talking 10 minutes start to finish.
- Naturally Green – Which makes them perfect for St. Patrick’s Day, spring parties, or just feeling fancy on a Tuesday.
- Sweet Meets Earthy – The buttery marshmallows + the slight bitterness of matcha = chef’s kiss perfection.
- Major Glow-Up Vibes – Regular Rice Krispy treats are fun, but matcha makes them feel just a little more elevated.
What You’ll Need
- To make these next-level treats, here’s the simple lineup:
- Butter (I prefer salted but you can use unsalted)
- Mini Marshmallows (melts quicker)
- Vanilla Extract
- Rice Cereal
- Ceremonial-grade matcha (get the good stuff, trust me because you want that bright green color)
- Sweetened Condensed Milk (the secret ingredient for extra chewiness)
Pro Tips for the Best Matcha Rice Krispy Treats
- Use high-quality ceremonial matcha. The vibrant green color and superior flavor make all the difference.
- Don’t overheat the marshmallows. Low and slow keeps them soft and gooey is the goal.
- Secret Ingredient. Use sweetened condensed milk. From good to next-level gooey perfection.
- Add a drizzle of white chocolate if you’re feeling extra. It pairs so well with matcha!
Just Make These Already
I promise, once you try these matcha-infused marshmallow squares, you’ll wonder why you ever settled for the basic version.
