Homemade Pumpkin Coffee Creamer (Made with Real Pumpkin)

pumpkin coffee creamer

Fall is here, which can only mean one thing: pumpkin everything!

If you’re as obsessed with cozy fall flavors as I am, you’re going to love this homemade pumpkin coffee creamer made with real pumpkin. It’s creamy, perfectly spiced, lightly sweet, and turns your everyday coffee into a coffee-shop-worthy fall treat.

And the best part? You can make it in just a few minutes with simple ingredients you probably already have in your kitchen.

Skip the expensive coffee-shop run and make your own pumpkin spice coffee creamer at home. Your morning coffee is about to get a serious upgrade.

Why Make Homemade Pumpkin Coffee Creamer?

Sure, you can grab a bottle of pumpkin creamer at the grocery store, but homemade is so much better.

This easy pumpkin coffee creamer recipe lets you control exactly what goes into your cup, including the sweetness and amount of pumpkin spice. And unlike many store-bought creamers, this version is made with real pumpkin and simple ingredients.

Here’s why I love making my own:

  • Made with real pumpkin puree
  • Uses simple, easy-to-find ingredients
  • No artificial pumpkin flavor needed
  • Easy to customize the sweetness and spices
  • Takes just minutes to make
  • Delicious in hot coffee, iced coffee, cold brew, and lattes
  • Perfect for making ahead and keeping in the fridge

The real pumpkin gives this creamer that unmistakable fall flavor, while pumpkin pie spice adds all those warm cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, and clove notes we love this time of year.

How To Use Homemade Pumpkin Creamer

Now for the fun part! Add a splash—or two—of this dreamy pumpkin creamer to just about any coffee.

Hot Pumpkin Spice Latte

Pour the pumpkin creamer directly into hot coffee or espresso and stir. For a coffee-shop-style finish, top with whipped cream and a sprinkle of pumpkin pie spice or cinnamon.

Iced Pumpkin Latte

For an extra-cold iced latte without watering it down, I use my HyperChiller to quickly chill the coffee before pouring it over ice.

Add your desired amount of pumpkin creamer to coffee, chill, pour over ice, and top with whipped cream and a sprinkle of cinnamon.

My favorite ice hack: Use nugget ice for that coffee-shop feel. It makes homemade iced coffee so much more fun.

Make Pumpkin Creamer Ice Cubes

Want your pumpkin creamer to last even longer? Pour it into an ice cube tray and freeze.

Pop a few cubes into your hot coffee whenever you’re craving a little pumpkin spice. As they melt, they add creamy pumpkin flavor without watering down your coffee.

How Long Does Homemade Pumpkin Coffee Creamer Last?

Store your homemade pumpkin creamer in an airtight container in the refrigerator and use it within about 1 week.

Because this recipe contains real dairy, check for any changes in smell, texture, or appearance before using.

I recommend giving it a good shake or stir before each use, as some separation is completely normal with homemade creamer.

G’s Tip For The Best Pumpkin Coffee

For the best flavor, use pure pumpkin puree—not pumpkin pie filling. Pumpkin pie filling already contains added sugar and spices, which can throw off the flavor and sweetness of your creamer.

And don’t be afraid to adjust the pumpkin spice to your liking. If you love a bold, spicy PSL, add a little extra. If you prefer a more subtle pumpkin flavor, start with less and add more to taste.
