Southern Deviled Crab Dip Recipe

by Gina Dal Molin

My toxic trait is that when I taste something delicious, I NEED to know what’s in it and shamelessly ask for the recipe. 😉

I’ve collected many recipes at restaurants, cocktail bars, hotels and even airport lounges (lol). Luckily, you get to benefit from my obsessive need to hoard recipes. When I tasted this deviled crab dip, I just had to have the recipe. It’s basically crab mixed with pimento cheese and baked to gooey cheesy perfection topped with buttery cracker crumbles and salty furikake…yes please.

Trust me, I’m from Maryland and we know crab!

One of our many family visits to Charlotte, North Carolina to visit Kari, she introduced us to one of the top restaurants in the Queen City, Kindred. I still think about their outrageous milk bread cinnamon roll and handmade pastas.

This AMAZING deviled crab dip recipe I am sharing is from their sister restaurant called Hello, Sailor. Hello, Sailor is the cutest waterfront restaurant right on Lake Norman serving up classic southern comfort food. The perfect spot to chill, grab a drink and eat beef fat fries and oysters while enjoying the water view.

When in Rome, you do as the Romans and when in the South, you order all things pimento cheese. This recipe is special and will be a crowd pleaser at any backyard BBQ or party, you’ve got to try it.

Ps. Because this is a restaurant recipe, the ingredients are measured by weight so if you haven’t invested in a kitchen scale yet, now is the time. I have this one. Don’t be intimidated if you aren’t used to weighing ingredients, it’s super easy.

You’re Welcome 🙂
