Cherry Brazilian Lemonade

Ingredients

  • 2 medium limes well scrubbed
  • 1 cup fresh sweet cherries pitted (about 18–20 cherries)
  • 4 cups ice-cold water
  • ½ cup sweetened condensed milk
  • 2 cups ice
  • Pinch of sea salt optional

Instructions

  • Wash the limes thoroughly. Cut off both ends then quarter each lime.
  • In a high-powered blender combine: quartered limes, fresh cherries, cold water and pinch of sea salt
  • Blend on high for only 10–15 seconds. Don't blend longer.
  • Pour through a fine-mesh sieve into a pitcher and press gently to extract the liquid.
  • Discard the pulp.
  • Return the strained juice to the blender then add: sweetened condensed milk and ice. Blend for 10–15 seconds, just until frothy.
  • Pour into ice-filled glasses. Garnish with: lime wheel and mint.
  • Serve immediately while the drink is cold and foamy.
