Easy Strawberry Matcha Latte Recipe Made With Real Strawberries

Move over plain matcha, this Strawberry Matcha Latte is about to become the drink you crave all season long.
Creamy, earthy matcha meets sweet strawberry purée in a beautiful layered drink that looks fancy, tastes like a dream, and is surprisingly easy to make at home.
Whether you’re a longtime matcha lover or just looking for a fun twist on your iced latte routine, this recipe is a must-try.
And bonus, making it at home means you get to control the ingredients (hello, real strawberries and high-quality matcha). Oh and it’s way cheaper (and better) than your go-to overpriced café version.
Let’s Talk Ingredients
- Fresh or frozen strawberries
- Sugar
- Whole Milk or milk of choice (oat, almond, coconut, or dairy – your call)
- Ceremonial grade matcha
- Hot water (about 175°F not boiling)
- Ice
Tips for the Best Matcha Latte
- Use high-quality matcha. Ceremonial grade gives the best taste and the brightest green. I always use this one for lattes, it’s smooth, fresh, and never bitter.
- Make it creamy. For a richer vibe, try coconut milk or oat milk.
- Don’t overheat your water. Boiling water can burn the matcha and make it bitter. Stick to around 170–175°F.
- Shortcut version? Mash the strawberries with a fork instead of blending. A little texture never hurt anyone.
Matcha Essentials
Here are a few of my favorite matcha essentials:
- This ceremonial-grade matcha — organic, great flavor, and bright color
- This bamboo whisk + bowl set — makes the perfect froth
- This milk frother — quick and modern way to mix matcha
- This nugget ice maker — because matcha deserves the best ice
